Broken Sword is a legendary adventure game series. If you like to play an adventures, it is hard to imagine you did not play these games. The game itself revolves around the adventures of George Stobbart and Nico Collard in several stories based on history and mythology.
It is a classis point-and-click type of adventure, where you actually go through the game by clicking and giving commands to your player using mouse mostly in 2 dimensions. In the later series, the game is switched to 3D environment, and I think that was not good for it.

Broken Sword 2.5 is actually a free project, developed by Broken Sword fans through the world. Allowing you to play the completely new game completely for free. I have to say that they did a great job here, I am sure you would like it – especially if you are a fan of this game too!
This is a game similar to Broken Sword 2 but with a few interesting locations added. The story and the whole graphics part is very good. I would like to say it is close to original when it comes to the playability and quality story background.

The only bad thing for me is that game only supports German voices! Through many other languages are supported from subtitles. To improve subtitles support, you will need to install this patch (7.5 Mb’s) to enable English, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Croatian, Russian and Portuguese subtitles.
According to the game creators, there would be a support for English voices soon. If you not mind German voices, I would absolutely recommend you to play through this game on German. Anyway, a very good number of supported secondary-languages through subtitles are supported.
Necessary Improvements
Through the game has a very nice graphics and background story, there is still some room for improvements available. For example, I would like to see more settings under options menu – perhaps to change the resolution…
Graphics looks good - but I would like to see at least some options!
Also, they have announce these English voices last year! I hope they did not abandon the whole project, because the game really needs them! Most players through the world feels somehow wired when they find that game characters are not speaking English – I do that too!
Broken Sword 2.5 Requirements
Because of lack of advanced graphics options, this game would work on old computers as it works on today’s modern machines. Well, they sad that they can not exactly determine which are minimum requirements to run this game – but recommend you to use newer operating system than Windows 98.
I do not know anyone who have heard that someone use this system anymore – so, you would probably run this game on your office computer or even on low-end notebook models.
The game itself would fit into one single CD media. With around 700 Mb’s it would be easy to download on today’s broadband internet connections.
I definitely recommend you to download, install and play through this game. Especially if you are a fan of the point-and-click adventures like I am. After all, this is a very good and addictive game with which you would spend a couple of hours easily.
